Lewis is an environmental project manager with more than 25 years experience in business management, habitat and species conservation and delivering environmental projects across Scotland.
Keen to see a greater focus on sustainable land management, he believes there has never been a better opportunity to create landscape-scale ecological restoration as we work to meet our essential climate obligations and reverse biodiversity loss.
A Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Managers, his project work includes Managing habitat and species surveys with a focus on white-tailed and golden eagle distribution in NW Scotland.
He has provided consultancy support to land managers and government on the predation of livestock and conducted Avian Survey Work focusing on breeding raptors around woodland management and renewable energy developments in the uplands.
He is also proficient in Associated GIS mapping and reporting.
Lewis has been involved in the site survey and the collection of golden eagles for the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project.
He has also been involved in the oversight of a botanical and geological survey for an integrated land management programme in Lochaber and worked on developing and managing the Future Forests Caledonian pinewood conservation.
