Fraser is principally a botanist and habitat surveyor with over 20 years of experience conducting habitat surveys across Scotland including the National Vegetation Classification, UKHab and Scottish EUNIS.
He also carries out land management impact assessments, site condition monitoring and is involved in habitat restoration projects, including peatland restoration.
Holding an MA (Hons.) Geography from Edinburgh University he is also MCIEEM – a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
Recent projects he has been involved in include working on peatland restoration feasibility studies in Glen Affric, Kintail and the Ochils, and Herbivore impact assessments and National Vegetation Classification for the Corrour Estate.
He has also been involved with vegetation recovery monitoring, heather condition assessments, herbivore impact assessments and NVC surveys on Gordonbush, Griffin, Burn of Whilk and Bad a Cheo windfarms.
He was also located at Loch Sunart Woods Special Area of Conservation working on herbivore impact assessments.
